With a magnificent view of the Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, this apartment was reimagined as a contemporary home with subtle retro charm. The design balances the owner’s love for terrazzo and nostalgic touches with a softer, more organic approach, creating a space that feels both characterful and calm.
The client envisioned a home that embraced terrazzo flooring and gentle retro influences, while still feeling modern and timeless. To soften the existing boxy beams and ceilings, curved finishes were introduced throughout the space, allowing the interiors to flow more naturally and feel less rigid. Organic forms and rounded details helped strike a careful balance between personality and restraint, ensuring the design appealed to both homeowners. Despite a tight 12-week timeline and a full-scale overhaul, the project was delivered efficiently, allowing the owners to move into a thoughtfully designed home without compromise.
